Our Year to Date -Jan & Feb

January February

2007 got off to a great start with our ringing in the New Year with our friends the 4W's at the Calgary Zoo's Zoo Years Eve. The weather was fantastic, cold but not too cold, the company great and the venue fantasticly fun for kids. The highlight of our evening is always returning to the 4W's house to watch Dick Clark and mock the musical acts. What better way to ring in the 2007 than with great friends, lots of laughter and a fun evening.

Then we were off and running with BeaverJ's kindergarten class going full days. The adjustment was huge for all of us with BeaverJ being gone all day. The first week BabyJ was very concerned about where BeaverJ was in the afternoons, not to mention suddenly having her own nap schedule shifted by 2 hours. In the end things quickly unfolded into our new routine.

BeaverJ took ski lessons on the weekends for January and February. This was his year to love ski lessons and do very well at them. Being light and short has served him well on the skiing front. Interestingly I am still waiting for him to have his big "Garage Sale" wipe out with skis/gear all over the hill. I think it is an important right of passage in everyone's ski experience, and will determine if he really does like skiing.
